In hills of west Austin, with unrivaled views of Town Lake and the city skyline, this residential compound allows for a range of settings for both daily living and entertaining. The project consists of two primary elements: the main house with connected apartment, and a lower, cantilevered cliff house with roof garden. With the aesthetic being both warm and modern, the lighting was chosen not only for its ability to illuminate the sometimes-lofty spaces, but also to blend very sleekly with the architecture. Zero sight line adjustable pinhole fixtures camouflage seamlessly into the venetian plaster finishes throughout.
